We had our first snowfall this weekend in Golden and there is a distinct wintery chill in the air.  Boo the grizzly bear up at Kicking Horse Resort, is now in his over wintering yard just about to enter his den, as you can see from this picture he is sleepy as the snow falls on him.

Team Chambers took a day off to go hiking this weekend and what a wonderful hike it was, we drove into Yoho National Park and hiked up to Hamilton Lake, passing by Hamilton Falls, 850m elevation gain and a good 5 hours hiking was definitely worth it.  Check out some of the pictures we took.

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the floods in Alberta at this time.  Here in Golden we have some high water but have had no flooding.  

We recently visited the Mount 7 Launch, the jump off platform for paragliders and handgliders here in Golden, it is called Mount 7 because of each year during the snow melt the snow forms a giant 7 on the mountain side, we spent the evening marvelling at the beautiful sunset over Golden town and then also at the huge moon that rose just alongside the 7 check out these pictures taken by Wendy Chambers.
