Recent goings on around Golden and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort this week:

21 Whispering Pines is SOLD, there are offers in on properties in town and showings are increasing including 811 Barber Road, 868 Ryter road, 1713 Oberg Johnson, 1332 Selkirk. At the ski hil I have shown 1 & 2 bedroom GL/MT condo's that I could get into, #55 Aspens, #25 Aspens, #22 Aspens my client looking more towards the 2 bedroom units.
New listings this week are 1695 Golden Donald Road priced at $389,900 - a wonderful cabin in the woods sitting on 5 acres with loads of potential for cabins, or build a new home of your dreams. 310 Mountaineer Lodge is a 1 bedroom condo with lock off priced at $299,900 + GST, this condo is priced way under original purchase price and is the best priced (per sq ft) on the mountain.

Here at home the chocolate lab puppies are growing rapidly and just recently are starting to open their eyes, now the trouble starts !! Here are the little guys and girls at lunchtime !


Finally got out for a couple of runs my 21 years of ski patrolling has it's advantages finding lots of soft spots to carve some turns in.

Puppy news: Marley our chocolate labrador is the proud mom of 9 healthy puppies, they are all doing well and growing rapidly.

Its been a really busy day in the Chambers household today - not real estate but chocolate puppies arriving !!! 4 at the time of this blog and more yet to come, its an amazing experience and here is a shot of the first born a female.


Back to the real estate world ! Recent showings of 6 properties one being 1632 Selkirk Drive, my client really liked this property.
Priced reduced by $50,000 on 1403 Deere Ridge to $1,050,000 or only $174.00 / sq ft

Things continue to move along with showings in the town of Golden and at the Ski Hill, we now have received and accepted an offer on #21 Whispering Pines.
Our Temperatures are still above zero but we are expecting snow tonight and the temperatures to drop below freezing again.

Things continue to be busy in Golden. 607 6th Street was shown and also 504 10th street (duplex) to my client who is interested to see 504 10th again once Kitchens are completed. 1427 Adolph Johnson was shown twice and one set of clients seem very interested.
New listing this week is 2267 Neville Road in the Blaeberry Valley, sitting on nearly 6 acres of scenic pasture land, this home comes with a purpose built barn ideal for horses or "toys" priced at $489,700.

Glacier Lodge 111 is now SOLD and there are still quite a few enquiries coming in for ski hill property. My clients and I also have an accepted offer on a property listed with another Realtor in the Blaeberry. The weather has warmed up rapidly here and today we reached 5c which is resulting in the snow melting fast.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !

So its 2010 and Team Chambers had a lovely Christmas and New Year here in Snowy Golden it was nice to spend time with family and friends. Things have remained busy on the enquiry and showing front which is a very good start to the New Year. 865 Barber Road, 811 Barber Road and 1313 Stoney Trail and #21 Whispering Pines have all been shown, the WP #21 has a possible offer coming in on it and we are receiving enquiries for ski hill condos, rural properties and lots.

Lets hope this momentum continues we feel that it is going to.

We have seen some of our listings drop in price at the ski hill and in town.

#25 Aspens 2 bed 770 sq ft unit reduced by $20,000 from $360,000 + GST to $340,000 + GST making this the best priced 2 bedroom Aspens at Kicking Horse.

#309 Glacier Lodge 1 bedroom 710 sq ft unit reduced by $34,900 from $259,900 + GST to $225,000 + GST making this the best priced 1 bedroom unit at Kicking Horse.

868 Ryter Road East reduced by $20,000 from $260,000 to $240,000
