March is here and springtime is normally our busiest time of year, if it carries on like it has been since the beginning of 2010 for Team Chambers then we will truly have our work cut out which is a very good thing, we thrive on being busy.
We have a few new listings including:
1612 Gareb Road priced at $399,900 a nice home with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and huge outside decked area.

Thomas Road a 23 acre Lot South of Golden priced at $295,900 +GST with wonderful views of the Rockys.

LS10 ($129,900 +GST) and LS15 ($119,900 +GST) Nicholson Creek Road are two 40 acre parcels near to Mulligan Lake just South of Golden.

There is an accepted offer on 1605 Lafontaine Road and 1016 14th Street South was shown.
The Chocolate puppies are now 6 and half weeks old and a huge bundle of fun and mischief. Here is a recent shot of them waiting for their puppy porridge.

ITS NON STOP FOR TEAM CHAMBERS....... The first 2 months of 2010 have been our busiest since 2008 ! I have attached the BC Real Esate Association report from Feb 11th http://www.bcrea.bc.ca/news_room/2010-01.pdf. We are showing lots of people and our listings are increasing daily. Showings include 3 bedroom condos and Aspens at the ski hill, my clients are coming back for a second look at the Aspens this weekend. 1605 Lafontaine has an offer in on it and has been shown 3 times recently, 1332 Selkirk Drive was shown once, 811 Barber Road was shown again. 1695 Golden Donald Upper was shown twice and 1713 Oberg Johnson was also shown.
There is a price reduction on 507 6th street to $279,900, this is a perfect spring project for someone to get their teeth into. Aspens #25 has been reduced to $331,500 +GST, this is now the best priced Aspen on the mountain.
There was a recent bidding war on a in town property which my clients won! They are really excited about purchasing their first home.
New listing this week so far is Lot #1 Deere Ridge an in town view lot with lots of time to design and build your dream home priced at $144,900.

Snow is in the forecast, at last, and we will hopefully get out for at least one run at the ski hill soon workload and puppy business allowing !!

Talking of Chocolate Labrador Puppys - the pups are now 5 weeks old and becoming total little characters, full of fun and mischief, we are enjoying our time with them as we only have 3 weeks left to get our puppy fix!! Here are a couple of shots of the rapidly growing chocs.

So the olympics have started out in Vancouver and Canada have won their first 2 GOLDS!! Mens Freestyle mogul skiing and womens snowboard cross, they seem to be struggling with the weather somewhat and there have been delays in competition. Golden also has had no snow for a while now making conditions icy and the weather continues to remain warm reaching 9c yesterday, very spring like. We have 2 new listings this week they are:

A nice commercial End Unit on 9th Street North priced at $249,900 with 2550 sq ft, 2 bathrooms one with handicapped facilities, service bay at the rear and lots of parking.

1669 Dogtooth Close is an elegant mountain home up at KHMR priced at $1,279,900, open plan living space, 3 bedrooms and large media room.

Showings this past week include: Selkirk Townhomes, Whispering Pines Units to my clients who are very interested in all units but are talking about which one they prefer. 404 and 309 Glacier Lodge and 416 Mountaineer were shown with 416 being the favourite, these clients also looked at the 10th Street duplexes in town and they are deciding whether or not they prefer the ski hill or in town. 1605 Lafontaine has been shown 3 times and 1016 14th Street South has been shown twice, 1332 Selkirk Drive was shown for a second time to my client who is thinking about it. There is a an accepted offer in on 811 Barber Road.
Golden Mountain Homes have reduced the price of ALL lots by 20% making them very attractive for todays market.

February 4th 2010

Things continue to be busy in Golden especially on the listing front. This weeks new listings are:

Showings this week so far are 2 showings of the new listing 1605 Lafontaine, 811 Barber Road, 1713 Oberg Johnson, 2 showings of 607 6th, 1332 Selkirk Drive we are starting to see more confidence in the market and a few offers are coming in as well.


Wendy (as well as helping out with all the new listings!) continues to be busy with the chocolate Lab puppies, they are now exploring their surroundings and becoming feisty little pups, this one is having a rare moment of quiet.
